Results are now official
The Lisbon International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship took place on Saturday 10 October 2026. The IBJJF results page now lists the final placings, turning the event we previewed into a result we can report. In the adult black-belt divisions, Pawel Kacper Jaworski and Anna Remneva each appear in first place twice. The independent report from BJJ TV also confirms both doubles.
Jaworski leads two men's podiums
Representing Academia Gorila, Jaworski finished first at heavyweight, with Matheus Medeiros Paiva of Nous Dojo – Stefano Correa second. Jaworski also topped the open class. There, Luuk Aaron van Nieuwamerongen of NS Brotherhood International took second, while Paiva and Sebastian Henrik Sonntag of Sigma Jiu-Jitsu shared third place.
Keeping the division labels attached matters: these are adult black-belt no-gi results. They should not be confused with the separate gi tournament or with the master divisions listed further down the same results page.
Remneva completes her own double
Anna Remneva, representing Strela Team, is listed first in women's medium-heavy and open class. The women's open podium places Rosary Mary Walsh of Essential Jiu-Jitsu second and Nathalie Touson Gomes of Top Brother Europe third. This gives the Lisbon story both a men's and a women's double, rather than reducing the tournament to one headline name.
What a podium does—and does not—tell us
These placings establish who received each position. A medal list alone does not establish a submission, a points score or the number of matches an athlete contested. We therefore report the verified podiums without inventing a technical sequence. For Roll Legacy readers, the useful next step is to follow the precise category and consult official brackets or match footage before discussing how a victory happened.
