The French federation’s announcement
FFKMDA announces the IFMA European Muaythai Championships for 17–25 October 2026 at Halle Georges-Carpentier in Paris. Its 7 October news post states that public admission is free. The event listing places the venue at 81 boulevard Masséna in the 13th arrondissement. These details were checked on 14 October; they are not individual bout times or a guarantee of access availability at a particular session.
Two calendars differ
There is a practical discrepancy: IFMA’s international calendar lists 17–27 October, while the host federation publishes 17–25 October. Both agree on the start but differ on the finish. Those pages do not explain the difference. Before booking travel, confirm the programme of your intended session with the organiser. Do not assume that fights take place on every day of either date range.
More than a series of bouts
In its 9 October preview, IFMA announces a programme including combat, Wai Kru and Mai Muay. That variety offers a chance to observe different expressions of the discipline. These are not interchangeable events, and a demonstration should not be judged through the expectations of a bout. Check the discipline name and its programme before choosing what to follow.
Following the event clearly
Start with FFKMDA’s information when planning a visit, then compare it with the international page. Once detailed brackets and schedules appear, distinguish entries, pairings and final results. This article is a preview: it awards no victories and confirms no individual participants. The cover illustrates the atmosphere of a ring in Paris; it is not a photograph of the venue or a championship session.
