Sunday’s event
AJP lists its Spain National Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2026, featuring gi and no-gi, for Sunday 18 October at Palau d’Esports Catalunya in Tarragona. Matches are scheduled to begin at 10:00 local mainland Spanish time, also 10:00 in Paris and Switzerland. That is the start of the competition day, not a guaranteed time for every division or athlete.
Weigh-ins use different locations
The programme offers two venues on Saturday 17 October: Camp del Ferro in Barcelona from 16:00 to 18:00, and Palau d’Esports Catalunya in Tarragona from 16:30 to 18:00. On Sunday 18 October it lists weigh-in at Tarragona from 08:00 to 09:00. Check which instructions apply to your entry; do not confuse the Barcelona option with the venue where matches take place. All these times are local and match Paris on those dates.
Registration and following the event
The event page sets the late-registration deadline at 23:59 on 13 October. At this review on 16 October, that deadline has passed. A registration button still appearing does not establish that entries have reopened. The page provides athlete, bracket, match, schedule and result sections. Check your division and any updates there before travelling.
What to watch from the stands
The organiser lists male and female categories and different age and belt groups. To follow a bout, identify gi or no-gi, division and AJP rules first; do not assume all IBJJF criteria apply. Watch how control changes with fabric grips or reliance on body contact. This is a preview based on the announced programme, with no medals, winners or results attributed yet.
